About Abraham Maslow
Abraham Maslow was an American psychologist best known for creating the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, which is one of the most famous theories in psychology. During his lifetime, he worked as a psychology professor in various universities, including Brandeis University and Columbia University. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century.
Family Life
He was the oldest of seven children born to Rose Maslow and Samuel Maslow. In 1928, he married his first cousin Bertha. The marriage produced two children.
Achievements
In the 2002 Review of General Psychology survey, he was placed at the tenth position in the list of the most cited psychologists of the 20th century. He was the AHA's 1967 Humanist of the Year.
Trivia
