Adam Rodríguez is an American actor who is known for playing “Eric Delko” in the TV crime drama “CSI: Miami”.
Background and Education
He’s from Yonkers in New York and is of Puerto Rican descent. He was born to Janet and Ramon Rodríguez. He went to Clarkstown High School North in New York and graduated in 1993.
He worked as a stockbroker before he became an actor. He made his first film appearance as an extra in the well-received science fiction TV series, “The X-files.
Rodriguez has played roles in: “Empire (2015)” as Laz Delgado and “Magic Mike XXL” (2015) as Tito. He has also had recurring performances in medical drama TV series “The Night Shift”, where he played the role of Dr. Joseph “Joey” Chavez.
Between 2016 and 2020, he was cast as FBI detective Luke Alvez in more than 65 episodes of “Criminal Minds”.
His past credits include playing a major role in “About Last”, “CHiPs”, “Let the Game Begin”, and “I Can Do Bad All by Myself”. In the latter, which was directed by Tyler Perry, Rodriguez was cast alongside Taraji P. Henson, Brian White, Mary J. Blige, among many others.
He has an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a motion picture.
He won an ALMA Award in 2011.
