The British actor is best recognized for his “I’ve got nothing left” statement. He played the character of Ian Beale in the famous BBC soap opera, “EastEnders.” He was the main character with the most appearances on the show.
Early Life & Education
Woody, as he is affectionately called by his friends and fans, was born to parents, Brinley Woodyatt and Maureen Woodyatt. The EastEnders’ star suffered a traumatic childhood as he was a constant prey to an overly oppressive father. He graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School.
Career
Adam made his first appearance in Tom Stoppard’s “Razzle” in 1981. After starring in his second film, he took a break from acting and worked as a butcher for one year. He returned to acting and spent more than 30 years on the set of EastEnders playing the same character. He eventually got bored and exited the show in 2021.
Personal Life
He married former dancer, Beverley Sharp, at Disney World, Florida. The couple parted ways in 2020. The two founded the gin brand, Neat Gin. They had 2 children together.
Notable Achievements
Woodyatt won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 British Soap Awards for his role in EastEnders.
He also raised funds for various cancer research events and offered his services to support “Aid to Haiti.”

He was an avid fan of Star Trek and attended BBC 2’s Star Trek theme night.
