Personal Life
At birth, she was given the name Aitana Sánchez-Gijón de Angelis by her father Ángel Sánchez-Gijón Martínez, who worked as a lecturer in history. Her mother was also a lecturer by the name Fiorella de Angelis. The actress was born in Rome but about a year after her birth, she relocated with the whole family to Madrid.
She showed interest in acting early but she got her first opportunity when she became a teenager. Later in her life, she crossed paths with Guillermo Papim Luccadane and fell in love. In 2002, the two decided to get hitched and their union brought forth children.
Career
Her first shot in acting was when she was sixteen years old with her role as a teenager who was a lesbian in “Segunda enseñanza” in 1986. In the same year, she got a part in the show “Romanza final (Gayarre)”.
In 1989, she acted in “Bajarse al moro” as Eelena and that performance skyrocketed her into fame. Other shows she has been in include “El club de los incomprendidos”, “Thi Mai, rumbo a Vietnam “, “La puta y la ballena” and “La ley de la frontera “.
