About Al Franken
Al Franken is an American politician, comedian, writer, radio talk show host and actor who first gained fame in the 1970s writing and performing on the American sketch comedy and variety television show Saturday Night Live. From 2004 to 2007, he hosted the radio talk show The Al Franken Show. He was elected the United States Senator from Minnesota during the 2008 Minnesota U.S. Senate Election. Throughout his career, he has written several books, including the popular 2003 satirical book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them.
Family Life
He was born to Phoebe and Joseph Franken. He married Franni Bryson in 1975. The marriage produced a daughter named Thomasin and a son named Joe.
