About Al Gore
He is an American politician, author and environmentalist best known for being the 45th Vice President of the United State from 1993 to 2001in the Clinton administration. He is also known for being the U.S. Senator from Tennessee from 1985 to 1993.
He is the son of Albert Gore, Sr. and Pauline Gore. He had an older sister named Nancy who died in 1984. He married Mary Aitcheson in 1970 and fathered four children with her. In 2010, he and Mary separated.
He won a Nobel Peace Prize along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2007 for his role in fighting climate change. His book, An Inconvenient Truth, won a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album in 2009.
