About Alastair Cook
Cook is a successful British cricket player who is known for his unique playing skills which has put him amongst the best cricketers to ever emerge from England. According to records, Cook debuted for his home country at the age of 21, and represented England between 2006 and 2018. Over the course of his career, he has represented England in several international competitions and has won several awards.
Family Life
His father, Graham Cook was a telecommunications engineer, while his mother, Stephanie Cook worked as a teacher. He married Alice Hunt in 2011. His siblings are Adrian and Laurence Cook. As of December 2020, he had three children, including Elsie Cook.
Achievements
He received the NBC Denis Compton Award in 2003 and the NBC Denis Compton Award a year later. He was named a Knight Bachelor in 2019.
In 2005, he picked up the NBC Denis Compton Award, CWC Young Cricketer of the Year, and the PCA Young Cricketer of the Year.
In 2011, Cook was given the Freedom of the City of London, and became a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). That same year, he won the ICC Test Player of The Year.
