Club Career
Russo took up playing football at a very young age, beginning her career at Charlton Athletic’s Centre of Excellence. In 2016, she joined the senior squad of Chelsea FC and later played for Brighton & Hove Albion. In 2020, she signed a contract with Manchester United.
International Career
She represented England at all levels and won bronze at the 2018 U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Russo made her senior debut in 2020. The following year, she scored three goals against Latvia and set the record for the fastest-ever English player to score a hat-trick. She was part of the England squad that won ultimate honors at the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro.
Achievements
The Midstone-born player has won several honors, including Manchester United Women’s Players’ Player of the Year in 2021/2022, as well as the 2022 UEFA Women’s Championship Bronze Boot and the Goal of the Tournament at the 2022 UEFA Women’s Championship. She has over 350,000 Instagram followers.
