Alexander the Great was a King of the Ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia. His tutor was philosopher Aristotle. He and Aristotle are regarded as 2 of the most influential people of all time.
His Legacy
He campaigned through Asia and northeast Africa. Byt the time he was 30, he had created one of the largest empires in the ancient world, from Greece to Egypt and from there to India. He was undefeated in the battles he gave and he is still regarded as one of the most successful military commanders of all time. Dozens of cities are now called Alexandria after him.
His Personal Life
There have been many versions of Alexander's death through the years. The most common is that he was poisoned.

He was always drinking alcohol and at a certain point, he began to exhibit signs of megalomania.
