About Allyson Felix
Allyson Felix is a popular American sprinter who, as at the end of February 2022, held the record for the most medals won by an athlete in the history of the World Athletics Championship. Regarded as one of the best athletes of her era, Felix became America’s most decorated track and field Olympian in 2020.
Her journey to success began in the early 2000s when she won a number of junior tournaments. She gained national attention in 2003 after she came second in the 200 m event at the U.S. national championships. The following year, she participated in her first Olympic Games and finished with a silver medal.
Since then, she has participated in many Olympic Games and World Championships winning lots of medals in both competitions.
Family
Her parents are Marlean and Paul Felix. She’s the younger sister of American sprinter Wes Felix and has been married to American athlete Kenneth Ferguson. The couple welcomed their first child in 2018 named Camryn.
Education
After Los Angeles Baptist High School, this athlete attended the University of Southern California.
Achievements
Very few athletes in the world can boast of Felix’s success. By the end of 2020, she had won a total of seven gold, three silver, and a bronze medal at the Olympic Games. In 2019, she won her 13th gold medal at the World Championships.
