About Amerigo Vespucci
Amerigo Vespucci was a famous Italian merchant, explorer and navigator, who is noted to have played a vital role in the two popular voyages of the "Age of Discovery", which was approximately between the start of the 15th century until the middle of the 17th century.
His first voyage, which he went on behalf of Spain, was between 1499 and 1500, while the second, on behalf of Portugal, was between 1501 and 1502.
Family Life
He was born to father, Nastagio Vespucci, who worked for the Money-Changers Guild as a notary. His mother is Lisa Giovanni. His siblings include; Agnoletta, Antonio, Gerolamo, and Bernardo Vespucci. He got married to Maria Cerezo in 1505 and they both stayed married till his death in 1512.
