Amy Rogers is an American screenwriter and television producer with works spanning from cartoons to television shows. Through her career she has received four Emmy nominations.
Family and Background
Born as Amy Keating Rogers, she attended Occidental College, California Institute of Arts.
She got married to Aaron Rogers. The couple have two children together namely Moira and Soren. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her family.
Career
Amy started out in the film industry as a playwright for the theater of which she had formal training. And in so doing took a surprising turn which led her straight to the world of animation.
Notable mentions of her work include " The Powerpuff Girls" and "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".
She directed a documentary in 2009 titled "Jason Bateman Thinks I'm Dead". She did so to re-establish contact with Jason Bateman, her elementary school classmate.
She is the brain behind all time classic favorite cartoons like "Johnny Bravo", "Dexter's Laboratory", "The Fairly Odd Parents", etc.
She became a full time writer for Disney on 27th April, 2015.
Having had several decades of experience, she’s been involved in the production of sixteen different animation series and counting.
Achievements
She was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program with the show “The Powerpuff Girls” in the years 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004.
