About Anneliese Michel
Anneliese Michel was a German student who died tragically in 1976 at the age of 23 after undergoing over 60 rites of Catholic exorcism to get rid of demonic spirits that had supposedly possessed her. The 2005 American horror film The Exorcism of Emily Rose is loosely based on her story.

She was born to Anna and Josef Michel. She had three sisters.
Trivia
She died from dehydration and malnutrition after undergoing 10 months of exorcism rites. After her death, her parents Anna and Josef, along with the two priests Arnold Renz and Ernst Alt who performed the exorcisms, were put on trial and found guilty of negligent homicide.
