Her famous Niagara Falls Stunt
She decided to be the first person to ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel for future financial gain. Prior to her stunt, she used her cat as a test subject.
She stepped into the barrel on her 63rd birthday, October 24, 1901. With the exception of a minor head gash, she was mostly unharmed. Less than twenty minutes was the feat's duration.
In order to market her memoir, she went back to Niagara Falls.
Trivia
The stuntwoman went by aliases such as "Queen of falls" and "Queen of the mist".
