About Anouk
Anouk is a Dutch singer whose breakthrough came in 1997 after she dropped the award-winning single “Nobody’s Wife”. Since then she has gone on to establish herself as one of the premiere musicians in her part of the world, winning a plethora of awards in the process.
Achievements
Between 1997 and 2018 she has released a dozen studio albums. And amazingly all of them except for the second have scored a number 1 on the Netherlands Album Top 100.
As such she has also been widely popular on the Dutch Top 40. For instance her 2009 track “Three Days in a Row” and 2013 song “Birds” both went on to top the list.
She has won too many music awards to be mentioned here. But the two from her heyday which are the most internationally-recognizable would be the MTV Europe Music Awards she took home in 2005 and 2006, respectively for Best Dutch/Belgian Act and Best Dutch Act.
Trivia
She was a teenaged runaway and as such spent part of her years living in group homes.
As of June 2020, Anouk has well over half-a-million followers on Instagram.
