About Anthony Boric
Anthony Boric is a retired New Zealand rugby player who was mostly used at the lock position. He was occasionally deployed as a flanker. The Auckland-born rugby star spent the majority of his career with Super Rugby side, The Blues. He also starred for the North Harbour between 2005 and 2011.
International career
Boric played a number of games for the Junior All Blacks. He was later picked into the senior side in 2008. He played a part in his country’s success at the World Cup in 2011.
Family
He took his other name from his grandfather who was simply referred to as Frank.
Education
The rugby star attended the University of Auckland where he read Civil Engineering.
Trivia
He recorded his maiden Test try in 2008 against Scotland.
He was in his final year in the University when he earned his first All Black call-up.
