Anthony’s mother was blues singer Mercedes Hall. Anthony is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become literate. He founded the Anthony Michael Hall Literacy Program and is very involved with teaching kids to read by using non-traditional methods such as movie scripts and song lyrics. He is a singer in the band “Hall of Mirrors”.
Personal
Anthony is the godfather of his good friend Robert Downey Jr’s son, Indio. He has appeared in 3 films with his friend including “Weird Science” and “Johnny Be Good”. He went to rehab for alcohol abuse when he was only 17 and has remained sober ever since.
