About Anthony Réveillère
The former French right-back, Anthony Guy Marie Réveillère, made his name known after representing France in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. He has also played for popular teams such as Valencia and Napoli.
Early Life
Réveillère lived most of his youth in France and started pursuing football at a young age. The footballer started his youth career in 1985 with SO Vihiers. He played for the Angers youth club from 1992 to 1996 and then went on to play for the Rennes youth club from 1996 to 1998.
Career
Réveillère made his professional debut for the Rennes senior club in 1998 and stayed with the team till 2003. He was later loaned to Valencia in 2003 but left for Lyon that same year and played for the team till 2013. The right-back also played for Napoli from 2013 to 2014 and finally signed for English side Sunderland in 2014. He hung up his boots in 2015.
He played for the French national team from 1995 to 2012.
Personal Life
The right-back married Caroline Réveillère and has one child as of 2021.
