About Antonio Salieri
Antonio Salieri was a renowned Italian composer who served as the leader of his country’s opera from 1774 to 1792. Salieri, who mostly served under the Habsburg Monarchy, is credited with the development of operatic vocabularies in the 1700s. He was later named as the imperial Kapellmeister of Austria in 1788.
