About Ari Up (Ariane Daniela Forster)
She was a German singer. She rose to prominence with her membership of the British punk band, "The Slits" – a group which she founded, in 1976 when she was just 14 years of age, alongside drummer, Paloma McLardy popularly known as "Palmolive".
The aforementioned group parted ways in 1981 and she soon began working with the New Age Steppers before eventually going independent.
Death
Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, which she battled until her untimely death in 2010.

Her father, Frank Forster was a schlager singer, while her mother is Nora Forster. She got married to British singer, John Lydon in 1979. Her children are namely, Pablo and Pedro (twins), and Wilton.

She is remembered for works like "Cut" (1979), "The Peel Sessions" (1987), "Trapped Animal" (2009), and more.
Her godfather's were musicians, Udo Jürgens and Jon Anderson.
