About Ashleigh Banfield
The Canadian-American, Ashleigh Banfield is a television journalist. In 2021, she joined the American television network, NewsNation as the host of Banfield, a nightly TV news program. In 1998, she started her career at CJBN-TV, a TV station in Canada. That same year, she moved to CKY-TV.
Banfield broadcasted weekend news for three years at CFRN-TV. She was later employed at CICT-TV as a producer for a year before switching to a newscaster and business correspondent for two years (1993 to 1995).
In 2000, she moved to the United States after MSNBC employed her. In 2005, she joined CourtTV. In 2012, she moved to CNN as the co-host of the early morning show dubbed Early Start.
Banfield has hosted several shows including Judgment with Ashleigh Banfield, Live Rescue, and Banfield & Ford: Courtside.

She is the offspring of John Alexander Banfield and Suzanne Elizabeth Holland. In 2004, she tied the knot with Howard Gould but later divorced him. In 2017, she married Chris Haynor, her second husband. Her two children are Jay Fischer Gould and Ridley Banfield Gould. She has a cousin named Michelle MacLaren.
