About Baekhyun
Byun Baek-hyun, simply called Baekhyun, is a South Korean singer-songwriter – he is also an actor. However, he is best recognized as a member of boy band, Exo, its sub-unit Exo-CBX and sub-group Exo-K, as well as the supergroup known as SuperM.
He gained attention as the ninth member and main vocalist to join Exo in January 2012.
Baekhyun portrayed the lead role as Don Lockwood in the 2014 SM C&C production of the musical, Singin’ in the Rain.
In 2019, he released his first EP as a solo artist titled, City Lights.
Family Life
His older brother is known as Byun Baek-beom.
Achievements
In 2016, he became a recipient of a YinYueTai V-Chart Award for the Most Popular South Korean Singer.
During the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, he won the Best Male Artist award and also earned a nomination for Artist of the Year.
Trivia
He has received martial arts training and has achieved a dan 3 black belt in Hapkido.
The star has performed along with fellow members of Exo, Xiumin and Suho.
