Bush, the 41st President of the United States and for serving as the First Lady of the United States from 1989 to 1993. Prior to that, she was also the Second Lady of the United States, a position she held from 1981 to 1989. She is also known for being the mother of George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States of America.
Her daughter, Pauline Robinson Bush, died of leukemia two months shy of her fourth birthday. Pauline’s death affected her so much it reportedly caused her hair to turn white prematurely.
After the death of former First Lady Nancy Regan in 2016, she became the oldest living First Lady in the United States.
