About Barbara Cartland
Barbara Cartland was a beautiful and legendary British author who was widely regarded as one of the world's most successful romance authors. A talented writer of both modern and historical romance books, she authored over 700 novels throughout her distinctive career establishing a great reputation in the industry. She was inducted into the Guinness Book of Records after publishing over 20 novels in a single year as well as selling over 1,000 million copies worldwide. Dubbed the "Queen of Romance" Cartland published memoirs, biographies, health and culinary books, theatrical plays, and love songs.
Family
Among her numerous grandchildren are William Legge, and the 10th Earl of Dartmouth.
She married Hugh McCorquodale between 1936 and 1963.
She had four children namely Raine Spencer, Countess Spencer, Ian McCorquodale, and Glen McCorquodale.
