A Manhattan native, Barbara Jo Allen attended L.A. High School before going on to college at Stanford University.
Career Facts
She kicked off her career as Beth Hilly in the soap opera, “One Man's Family.” She later portrayed the character of Vera in Frank McDonald's “Village Barn Dance,” which also starred Richard Cromwell and George Barbier. Over time, she appeared in a stream of films, including “Melody Ranch,” “Buy Me that Town,” “Hi, Neighbor,” “Mohawk” and “The Sword in the Stone.” As a voice actress, she lent her voice to a number of Disney characters in such films as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Goliath II" and “The Sword in the Stone.”
Personal Life
She was previously married to actor Barton Yarbrough before meeting her second husband Charles Hopper Crosby.
