About Bernard-Henri Lévy
French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy is a co-founder of the movement known as the “New Philosophers (Nouveaux Philosophes)”. As a lecturer, he has taught in many high-profile schools including the University of Strasbourg and the École Normale Supérieure.
His numerous books have earned him lots of admirers. Some of his most popular publications are titled “The Spirit of Judaism (L'Esprit du Judaisme)” and his 1988 novel “Les Derniers Jours de Charles Baudelaire”.
Family
His father André Lévy owned a timber firm named Becob. His mother is called Dina Siboni and his two siblings were named Véronique Lévy and Philippe Levy. He married French entertainer Arielle Dombasle in 1993.
Education
He enrolled at École Normale Supérieure after graduating from Lycée Louis-le-Grand.
