About Bernard Sumner
Hailing from England, Bernard Sumner is a popular singer, record producer, and songwriter. He started his singing career in 1976 with his bandmate, Peter Hook after attending a music concert of Sex Pistols at Free Trade Hall. Sumner was the band’s electronic keyboardist and lead guitarist. Later, he formed a new band named New Order with Hook and Stephen Morris.
In 1989, Sumner, alongside Johnny Marr, formed a new music group named Electronic.
His works include “Power, Corruption & Lies” in 1983, “Waiting for the Sirens' Call” in 2005, and “Raise the Pressure” in 1996.
He has also collaborated with several bands to release numerous songs such as “Cool As Ice / Twice As Nice” with 52nd Street, “This Time I'm Not Wrong” with Sub Sub, and “Looking From A Hilltop (Restructure)” with Section 25.
Education
He studied at Salford Grammar School.

He is the offspring of James Dickin and Laura Sumner. In 1978, he married Sue Barlow but divorced her in 1989. Later, he married Sarah Dalton, his second wife. His four children are Finley Emil Sumner, Tess Iona Sumner, Dylan Christian Sumner, and James Christopher Sumner.
