About Bert Blyleven
Bert Blyleven, a former professional baseball player who spent 22 years playing in Major League Baseball, is regarded as one of the game's all-time greats. He served as a pitcher for his clubs throughout that period.
In 1970, he made his professional debut with the Minnesota Twins. As a young child, he became enthralled with the game after being inspired by Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitcher Sandy Koufax.
A pitcher exceptional in his profession, Blyleven played for other prosperous teams, including the Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians, and California Angels.
After he retired from active play, he took up new responsibility as a coach, having coached the Netherlands national baseball team and World Baseball Classic. He received several awards and acclaim for his phenomenal baseball accomplishments.
