About Bert Campaneris
Bert Campaneris was one of the best baseball players during the 1960s and 1970s. His journey to stardom began in 1964 when he played his first game for the Oakland Athletics (then known as Kansas City). A versatile player, Campaneris quickly established himself as one of the franchise’s most influential players and helped them to win three World Series titles before leaving in 1976.
During his career in Major League Baseball, he played for quite a number of teams including the California Angels, and the Texas Rangers.

In 1969, he became the husband of Norma Campaneris.
Achievements
He has been inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame. During his MLB career, he was selected into six All-Star teams. Campaneris was also the leader of the American League’s stolen bases chart on six different occasions.

Before leaving the Athletics in 1976, he was the most-capped player in the history of the franchise.
In 1965, he became the only player to feature in all the different positions in a major league match.
