Bess Streeter Aldrich wrote her first novel "Mother Mason" in 1924. The success of the novel encouraged her to publish other interesting best sellers, including "The Rim of the Prairie'' in 1925, "A Lantern in Her Hand" in 1928, "Miss Bishop" in 1933, and "The Drum Goes Dead" in 1941.
The author also published "Spring Came On Forever", which recounted the life of two American characters who head out West into the Nebraska Territory.
Personal Life
The author married Charles Sweetzer Aldrich in 1907.
