About Bo Diddley
Bo Diddley was the stage name of American singer, songwriter, guitarist and music producer, Ellas McDaniel. He is known to have created a distinct rhythm using African rhythms, which went on to become the bedrock of hip hop, pop and rock music.
He has also been noted as an influence for artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. His hit songs include:

Family Life
He was raised by Gussie McDaniel, his mother’s cousin, who became his adoptive parent. He married and divorced four times. His second wife, Ethel Smith bore him two children, just like his third wife, Kay Reynolds.
Achievements
He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Blues Hall of Fame, Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame, Rockability Hall of Fame and Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame.
Death
He died of heart failure on 2 June 2008.
