About Bob Barker
Bob Barker was a former television game show host famed for hosting the popular CBS game show The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007. He was also known for hosting Truth or Consequences and the short-lived game show The Family Game. Time magazine called him the Greatest Game Show Host of All Time.
Family Life
He was born to Matilda and Byron John Barker. He married his childhood sweetheart Dorothy Jo Gideon in 1945. He remained married to her until her death in 1981. He and Dorothy had no children.
Achievements
He was an inductee of the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame and had a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
