About Bob Greene
Bob Greene gained public notice as a result of his outstanding journalistic contributions in the United States. He published the book “Hang Time: Days and Dreams with Michael Jordan” in 1992. The book became one of the bestselling books of the period.
Personal Life
Greene was born and raised in Bexley, Ohio. His alma mater is Northwestern University.
The journalist began a marital relationship with Susan Koebel Greene and he has two children with her.
Career Highlight
Upon completing school, he worked as a writer at the Chicago Sun Times for a while and around 1977, he was employed to work with the Chicago Tribune. He made appearances on television shows such as the Nightline.
He served as a columnist for the network, and a few years later, his columns were seen in close to 100 newspapers. His column covered all subjects and has also written an article on personalities like Michael Jordan and Alice Cooper.
Bob Greene spent close to 20 years working for the tribune until in 2002, after he had admitted to engaging in a pre-marital relationship with a high school student, he left the tribune.
Other successful books he published are “Late Edition: A Love Story”, “Fraternity: A Journey in Search of Five Presidents” and “Once Upon a Time: The Miracle of the North Platte Canteen”.
Achievement
Greene was the recipient of the National Headliner Award for best column in 1977.
