Background
This Detroit-born editor moved to Hollywood and worked as an assistant editor on a few low-budget films. He worked with filmmaker Samuel Raimi on the 1990 superhero film “Darkman”.
Collaboration with Sam Raimi & Other Notable Achievements
By 1992, Murawski had created a niche for himself and worked with Raimi on films such as cult-comedy “Army of Darkness”, the 2009 supernatural film “Drag Me to Hell”, and the 2002 “Spider-Man” trilogy.
This Michigan State University alumni came together with actor Sylvester Stallone to establish Grindhouse Releasing, where they digitally remake classic horror films on Blu-ray disc. They have worked on classics like the 1968 film “The Swimmer”, the 1981 horror film “The Beyond”, and the 1982 slasher film “Pieces”.
Other notable films that he has edited are: “The Hurt Locker”, “Dracula Untold”, and “Kong: Skull Island”.
He collaborated with Sam Raimi on the 2000s Spider-Man films, “Drag Me to Hell” (2008), “Oz the Great and Powerful” (2013), and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
Personal Life
Murawski married fellow editor Christina "Chris" Innis in 2008. He worked together with Innis on Kathryn Bigelow's 2008 war thriller film “The Hurt Locker”, which starred Anthony Mackie, Guy Pearce and Jeremy Renner.
