Growing Up
The basketball player enrolled at Penn State in 1963, and from then until his graduation in 1965, he was unstoppable on the court.
Career as a Player
Weiss began his professional career in 1965 with the Philadelphia 76ers and then spent the next two years with the Wilmington Blue Bombers. From 1967 to 1968, he was a member of the Seattle SuperSonics. Weiss also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, the Chicago Bulls, and the Buffalo Braves, all of which are NBA franchises. In 1976, he joined the Washington Bullets, and he played there until his retirement the following year.
Career as a Coach
Weiss entered the coaching world by serving as an assistant coach for the San Diego Clippers from 1978 to 1980. In addition to coaching the Atlanta Hawks, he was the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, Shanxi Zhongyu, and the Seattle SuperSonics.
