About Bobby Labonte
Bobby Labonte is an American racing driver and analyst for NASCAR. He is also the winner of the 2000 Winston Cup Series Championship. He is the founder of Breaking Limits, a marketing and public relations firm, and The Bobby Labonte Foundation.
Family
Labonte got married to Kristin. He was previously married to Donna Slate and they bore two children, Robert Tyler and Madison.

He studied at a High School in North Carolina.
Early career
Labonte started his racing career in 1969 in quarter-midgets in Texas, where he won his first feature race after one year of racing. He continued to drive in the quarter–midgets through the United States and won many races until 1997.
The driver progressed to driving go-karts but he moved to North Carolina and made his first appearance in the 1980 NASCAR International Sedan Series in Atlanta where he placed third.
He also participated in the Busch Series for the first time in 1982 at Martinsville Speedway and came 30th at the end of the race. The driver returned to Busch Series in 1985; he ran two races at Martinsville in his own car. He placed 30th in the first race and finished 17th in the second race, this being his best-recorded finish at the time.
Achieving Success
Labonte began to record major success in his racing career driving late–model stock cars. He won 12 races at Caraway Speedway near North Carolina and became the track champion as well as got the opportunity to work for stock car builder Jay Hedgecock.
For the next season, the driver competed at Concord Motorsports Park and won six times. He went on to run six additional Busch races and finished 16th at Darlington Raceway.
The following season, he competed in seven more Busch Series races and recorded his first top-five finish at North Carolina Speedway. Later that year, he recorded a couple more top-10s.
During 1990, Labonte began racing full-time in Busch Series. He formed his team, driving the No.44 Oldsmobile. He achieved success and finished fourth at the Bristol Motor Speedway. He also became Busch's Most Popular Driver”. He earned his first Busch series title the following season in 1991.
Achievements
He is the first driver with a record of winning the Winston Cup Championship (2000) and the Busch Series championship (1991).
He also earned the International Race of Champions (IROC) title in 2001.
