About Bradley Beal
Bradley Emmanuel Beal is the full name of the American basketball player and NBA star. As of 2021, he had spent nine consecutive NBA seasons at the Washington Wizards.
Early Life & Education
Beal schooled at Chaminade College Preparatory School for his high school education.
During Beal's senior season, he was honored with the Mr. Show-Me Basketball award and was awarded Gatorade's National Player of the Year in 2011.
He was part of the USA's Under-17 basketball team that won the 2010 FIBA World Championship. Beal was also named the MVP at the tournament.
In 2009, he gained an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida. He helped Florida reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament.
Professional Career
On 28 June 2012, he was drafted by the Washington Wizards as the third-best pick of the 2012 NBA draft. Beal had an incredible debut season with the Wizards. He played 56 games and was included in the NBA's All-Rookie first team. In addition, Beal placed third for the NBA's overall Rookie of the Year award. As of 2020, he had made 605 appearances for the Wizards and averaged 0.456 field goal percentage. During the NBA's 2020-21 season, Beal earned his first spot in the All-NBA selection.
Due to Covid-19, he was ruled out of the USA's 2020 Basketball team that won gold at the Olympics.
