About Brahim Takioullah
Moroccan Brahim Takioullah held the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest feet as well as the world’s second tallest man.
Background
The hulking man grew up in Guelmim, Morocco. He was diagnosed with acromegaly in his late teenage years – a disorder caused by continued physical growth after the point natural growth should have ceased.
After his university education, his anomaly was looked into by a French doctor who sponsored Brahim’s treatment in France where his growth hormones were brought to normal.
Life and Experiences
Brahim stayed on in France after his treatment and obtained French nationality. He worked in an attraction park for several years after.
Each foot of the big-boned Moroccan was about 1.3 feet (about 38 centimetres). His feet fit in European-size 58 (American-size 25) footwear, which evidently would be near impossible to find in a regular clothing store. He wears footwear custom-made for his leg-size.
The world record holder is 2.46 metres (8.1 feet) tall, shorter than only one man in the entire world – the Turkish man Sultan Kösen – who stands at 2.51 metres (8.3 feet). He has a similar height as one other living human being – Morteza Mehrzad, an Iranian man.
Trivia
At a point in his life, Brahim grew a whole 1 metre (3.3 feet) in a year!
