Family Life
Her high school education was completed at Marshall Public High School in Marshall, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with an MA in American Studies.
Career Highlights
The Texas-born actress landed her first major TV role on "Friday Night Lights", a sports drama series which was developed by American filmmaker Peter Berg. Prior to that she had been cast as Candy in the 2007 film “You’re So Dead”.
She has acted in a number of movies, such as "Battle Planet" and "Homecoming". "Best Friends Forever" is a2013 post-apocalyptic movie that she both directed and starred in.
In 2014, she wrote the screenplay and starred in the series “The Real Housewives of Horror”. Four years later, in 2018, she wrote and directed an episode of the television series "EastSiders".
Together with her brother Zane Grant and the artist Kyle Strahm, she also produced the comic book miniseries "We Will Bury You". She carried on with the "SuicideGirls" comic miniseries, which was based on the aforementioned pin-up website.
Honors
Producing the television show "EastSiders" earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination.
“Feminist Campfire Stories”, a short film she directed, took home the Women in Comedy Film Festival's Audience Award.
