Childhood & Amateur Career
He was born in St Paul. Minnesota. Hedican attended North High School, where he played hockey, soccer, golf, and football. He opted to play ice hockey at the collegiate level for St Cloud State University. In 1988, he was drafted by the St Louis Blues.
Professional Career
Throughout his career, Hedican played for the Blues, as well as the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Anaheim Ducks before announcing his retirement in 2009. He also represented the US at the 1992 Winter Olympics held in Albertville, France.
Personal Life
Hedican married figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi in 2000. They welcomed two daughters – Keara and Emma – in 2003 and 2005, respectively.
