This decorated soldier is best known not for his military conquest but for gracing our screens on films such as “C.A.T. Squad: Python Wolf” and “Buffalo Soldiers”. He also directed the war drama “Soldier's Heart” (2008), which starred James Kiberd, Dyan Forest and Cady McClain.
Early Life
This New Jersey native grew up in Pennsylvania. He was the son of a World War II veteran. Delate enlisted in the United States military in 1968. After his service, he attended Rider University and spent a year at Princeton's McCarter Theatre, where he studied directing.
Career
Delate made his acting debut on the stage of the New York Shakespeare Festival in 1981. He made his entry to Hollywood in the film “Python Wolf” in 1987. Since then, he has made appearances in television series such as “All My Children” and “Law & Order''. Delate has worked with some great actors like Robert De Niro in “Jackknife”, Jean-Claude van in “Sudden Death” and Jodie Foster in “The Brave One".
