Bronx Style Bob is an American rapper from the Bronx, New York. This multi-talented artist is renowned for his versatility and hits, especially in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Family and Background
Bronx Style Bob was born Robert "Bob" Khaleel. Very little is made public about his parents and personal life but we do know that he grew up in an Arab-Jamaican family. He had basic education at John F. Kennedy High School with classmates like Mr. Freeze and Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew, and DJ Kid Capri. For college education, he attended California College of Arts to hone his skills.
Career
As early as the 1980s, he was a frequent fixture in popular clubs and art galleries in Manhattan, New York Cit, showcasing his talent in rap, punk rock and graffiti.
In 1985, he released his first soundtrack for the movie "New York Ninja". As a member of the Magnificent Force Breakdance Crew, he went on his premier tour.
He has recorded some tracks for the Spring Posse Records with his Zulu Kings crew. He has collaborated with names like Shawn Mullins, Fishbone, Ice-T, and John O'Brien.
Bronx Style Bob changed his professional name to Khaleel with a new album titled "People Watching". The album, which was produced by Matt Wallace, had featuring tracks from the music band Jellyfish. He also featured artists such as Lyle Workman and Jason Falkner on the album.
