Carey Bell Harrington was an American musician who became noted for his effortless skills with the harmonica. Before his untimely demise in 2007, the guitarist was widely recognized for his work with a number of musicians, including Earl Hooker, Louisiana Red, and Lowell Fulson.
Early Life
The singer took his interest in music seriously from a young age and spent a lot of time perfecting his skills with the harmonica. He became a member of a blues band at the age of thirteen.
Career
Bell released his debut album, "Carey Bell's Blues Harp" in 1969 and gained immense attention, which urged him on to produce other hits such as "Son of a Gun" in 1984, "Harpmaster" in 1994, "Good Luck Man" in 1997, "Second Nature" in 2004 and "Gettin' Up" in 2007.
Death
He died in 2007, aged 70. The cause of death was heart failure.
