At an early age, Carl Douglas performed in front of a large crowd at church. The Jamaican singer became a household name in 1974 when he released the chart-topping single titled "Kung Fu Fighting". The track was number one in countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Later that year, he issued his maiden studio album dubbed “Kung Fu Fighting and Other Great Love Songs”. In 1978, he released his third album which was under the name “Keep Pleasing Me”.
