Casemiro, a Brazilian defensive midfielder who simply goes by his first name, is praised for his aggressive tackles and sporadic great long shots.
Career
He came from the Sao Paulo youth system serving as captain. In 2010, in a defeat at Santos, he made his Série A debut. He was sent on loan to Real Madrid at the end of January 2013 and put in the B-team in Segunda División. On February 16, he made his competition debut.
On April 20, 2013, he made his La Liga debut for Spanish giants Real Madrid. In 2015, he returned to Real Madrid after being loaned to FC Porto. His stay at the Santiago Bernabéu saw him make over 200 appearances and score more than 20 goals.
After agreeing to a four year contract, he made his Manchester United debut in August 2022.
He made his debut for the Brazil senior team in 2011. As of 2021, he has featured more than 60 times for his country.

In São Paulo, he was born Carlos Henrique Casemiro.
Honors
He won the La Liga title three times with Real Madrid: seasons 2016–17, 2019–20, and 2021–22.
With Real Madrid, he won the UEFA Champions League five times. He also won the UEFA Super Cup three times.
He was part of the Brazil side that won the 2019 Copa América title on home turf. Brazil defeated Peru to secure the title.
