Early Life
The Australian was born to Mark and Robyn Reed. Young Reed developed a love for motorcycles and started practicing dirt racing in the grown bushes in his home's backyard. With the support of his parents and brother, he was able to launch his amateur career in 1997.
Career
Most of Reed's significant races began in 1998 in Australia. His skill and expertise shot him onto the motocross and supercross scene, where he won the Australian Supercross Championship in 1999 and 2000. Reed continued to win more championships from 2007 to 2009 and has ridden for several sponsors, including Yamaha and Red Bull.
Achievements
For his contributions to the sport, he was honored with Member of the Order of Australia in 2011.
In addition to winning the Australian Supercross Championship twice – in 1999 and 2000, the Australian won the 2004 and 2003 U.S Open Championship. He also won the 2018 SX-Open Championship.
