About Charles Oakley
American basketball star Charles Oakley shot to fame in 1985 when he joined the NBA after the Chicago Bulls obtained his rights. He had three successful years with the team in which he was selected into the 1986 NBA All-Rookie First Team.
Before exiting the league in 2004, Oakley played for other well-known teams such as the New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors, and the Houston Rockets. For his numerous rebounds, Oakley gained the reputation as one of the greatest power forwards to ever play in the league.
Legal battles
In 2011, he sued Las Vegas’ Aria Resort and Casino for an alleged assault. Six years later, he was arrested at the Madison Square Garden after he was reported to have assaulted a number of bodyguards at the arena.

He married Angela Reed in 2016.
Education
Before joining the Virginia Union University, he studied at the John Hay High School.
Achievements
He was a member of the NBA All-Star in 1994. That same year, he was selected into the NBA All-Defensive First Team.

He joined the Charlotte Bobcats as a deputy coach in 2010.
Seven years later, he was named the head coach of Killer 3s, a 3-on-3 team in the BIG3 league.
