About Chet Atkins
Chester Burton Atkins popularly known as "The Country Gentleman" is one of the legendary and a multiple Grammy award-winning country instrumentalist as well as a producer, performer, and songwriter who has had a huge influence on many musicians ranging from Jerry Reed to Duane Eddy, and Earl Klugh.
Many of his chart-topping singles from his tenure at RCA are now regarded classics. He was a driving force behind the creation of the Nashville sound, a country music style that has gained popularity among adult pop music fans.
Merle Travis and Jerry Reed inspired his distinctive picking technique and guitar influences. He has been named "One of the Greatest Guitarists of All Time."
His long list of successful works includes “Chet Atkins' Gallopin' Guitar”, “Finger Style Guitar”, and “Country After All These Years”.
