Early Life
He was born in DeRidder, Louisiana in 1968 but moved to Texas with his parents when he was 4. He dropped out of the University of Texas to pursue music.
Music Career
In 2000, he was signed to a recording deal with Virgin Records. His single "My Love Goes On and On" found its way to the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks. In 2002, he released his second album “Chris Cagle” on Capitol Records. In 2010, he signed with the Bigger Picture Music Group and released a new single, "Got My Country On".
Personal Life
He ended his first marriage with teacher Elizabeth Filer in 2003 and got married to his second wife Kay in 2010. He fathered 2 biological children and 1 step child by Kay.

In 2013, he was arrested on a suspicion of DUI.
