About Chris Carpenter
Chris Carpenter played in a number of amateur leagues before he was picked by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993. He was later sent to the Minor League Baseball before making his major league debut in 1997. After five years with the Blue Jays, he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in 2004 where he would spend the remaining years of his professional career.
With the Cardinals, the American pitcher won the World Series and was named into the All-Star team thrice.
Personal Life
His marriage to Alyson Ickes ended in 2013. He married his second wife two years later.
Education
Carpenter’s performance at Trinity High School caught the attention of many MLB scouts.
Achievements
He was the recipient of the National League’s Cy Young Award in 2005. Four years later, he was named as the NL Comeback Player of the Year. This baseball star is also a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame.
Trivia
His career was disturbed by many injuries which caused him to miss close to five seasons.
In 2014, he put one of his houses up for sale for an amount of $3.65 million.
